Not real sure about that. It would be tough for any other country to wage a successful assault on the U.S. mainland. The U.S. Navy is by far the finest in the world and due to geography the bulk of the assault would have to come from the sea. Going to be tough to come down through Canada as well because their Navy is no slouch. From a strategic standpoint any country or combination of countries that may think about invading the U.S. mainland would have to be willing to suffer unprecedented casualties that have never before been seen in warfare. So an all out war with substantial foreign ground troops on American soil would be difficult if not almost impossible to accomplish in my non west point opinion. A more likely scenario involving attack on U.S. soil would be an enemy sneaking a nuke in some way or another. That is a very real possibility and would have devastating effects. I still think most of the fighting would end up taking place in the Holy Land.

i'm gonna agree with biggamesjames here...if anyone is going to attack the U.S. it will not be done with ground troops and air attacks could be out of the question too unless they set up in venezuela and even then it'd be pretty easy to put a halt to it

ive actually talked about this with different people who work for the NSA and they all say the same things, that any nuclear attack on the U.S. would be thwarted pretty quick

another interesting thing they said was to not be surprised if North Korea's nuclear test failure was the work of American sabotage rather than a simple failure...take it fwiw

Russia will cross over into Alaska, wipe out Canada, and take over the U.S. Trust me this is how it will happen.

Anyone know anything about Russia's actual military hardware? Are they still using Cold-War-era weapons/vehicles or have they improved since then?

And does anyone know what small arms weapons they are equipping their soldiers with? Just curious if they're still using the AK-47, although I have a feeling they're past those.

It would be chemical weapons. Another thing I find interesting, the US has a weapon that can be used to control a crowd; leaves the skin with a burning sensation, depending on how strongly it is used. Alien abduction/contact reports have left folks with some mild burns and lack of electricial system at the point of contact.

True enough...Russia has ran the ole flea flicker a couple of times as well as the hook and lateral. Don't know if they can stop our Statue of Liberty play though [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]. I liked the analogy someone made about Hezbollah and Al-Queda running a single wing too.
